Way back

Sickmouthys Music Diary Project: Day 2 (April 5th 2011)

The following were listened to on my car radio whilst driving around with my Mum from bike shop to bike shop looking for a bike for my Dads birthday. The radio station was Absolute radio (1215 AM, am I still the only person listening to AM?) Obviously I cant write down while I'm driving so I may have possibly forgotten 1 or 2. EDIT: Due to finding a great function on Absolute radios website, I can retrieve what was played when, so the following is now definitive!

Alanis Morissette - You Learn
The Bluetones - Slight Return
John Farnham - You're The Voice
Snow Patrol - Just Say Yes
REM - Uberlin
Elbow - One Day Like this
Amy McDonald - Mr. Rock And Roll
Iggy Pop - Lust For Life
The Connells - 74-75
Dire Straits - Sultans of swing
Kiss - Crazy Crazy Nights
Keane - Is It Any Wonder
Supertramp - Breakfast In America
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again

I listened to the following on a portable CD player while my nephew was helping me clean our bikes ready for the summer.

The Beatles - Help! (Whole Album)

The album was more or less just playing in the background and I was particularly *listening* to it. I did turn it up when it got to 'I've Just Seen a Face' mind you.

I didn't listen to any music today other than the above. I tend to only like to listen to music when I'm on my own and, as I currently live with my parents (For the last ever week or 2) and a big family that all live on the same street, theres always something going on. Always something to stop me making a cup of tea and listening to The Beatles properly.

In 2 days the only piece of music I've 'Chosen' to listen to is The Beatles. The rest has been left to chance.

Sickmouthys Music Diary Project: Day 1 (April 4th 2011)

As I was eating my porridge I put on VH1 and it was "50 Number 1's from the 90's" which, shamefully, is right up my alley. The following songs came on:

All Saints - Never Ever
Oasis - Dont Look Back In Anger
Gabrielle - Dreams
R Kelly - I Believe I Can Fly
Maria McKee - Show Me Heaven

I went to the gym in my sisters car and it was tuned into some local radio station. A song came on so bad that I wanted to eat my own head to avoid listening to it any further, because thats impossible I instead turned the radio off. A bit of iphone googling discovered it was thus:

The Wanted - Gold Forever

In the gym I had my ipod on shuffle and listened to the following:

Blur - Out Of Time
The Smiths - Cemetery Gates
Stereophonics - Goldfish Bowl
The Streets - When You Wasnt famous
Ash - Sometimes
The Verve - So Sister
